can someone explain why 10 months ago, none of these jits knew what "offset" meant, and now every Tom, Dick, and Harry is making a "can i run this ridiculous offset on my xx??"

then they dont even realize how wheel WIDTH factors in.

example: this asshat asks about a 15x8 wheel. you would need a 205mm tire s t r e t c h e d to do that, and that would surely smack your fenders.

i you rolled the living **** out of your fenders, ran a +15 in a 14x6.5 wheel (enkei 92 off a old bimmer) with a 185mm tire you owuld probably still hit.

i suggest you kids spend some time on google or something spinning yourself on offset, rim width and tire compatibility before you come on here and make yourself look stupid and TRENDY.

otherwise rule of thumb, +38 with a 205mm tire on a 15inch rim is PUSHING it on a FWD honda. any less offset that that and the wheels belong on a 79 datsun 510, not your 95 civic HB.

xDEFTONESx, stfu, you're starting to sound like me
Let these kids do what they want to their car. I've tried -many times- schooling them, but they never learn.

wheel specs and offset also depends mostly on the car. The area you can work with in the wheel well. If you measure everything correctly, you can figure out where your width and offset should be. Being that you're trying to run flushed wheels.

Here's a good calculator: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

if i knew i was gonna get bashed for asking a question then i wouldn't have posted. i thought honda-tech was an open minded site where all different kinds of tastes were accepted. now i've been on this site many times for the past like three years and what i get tired of seeing is "this is the way you build your car" threads. you all are a bunch of clones in my opinion.

and there you have it kids. go out to the junkyard and find the first 70's BMW you can find. lean down and check the wheels for something like ET+5. throw some 205/50/15s on them and throw em on your car and slam the **** out of your ebay coilovers.

cuz its the cool thing to do, and some guy on HT told you you could.

You have no idea what you are talking about if you think that's my setup.

I agree that there have been a lot of kids buying up sportmaxx wheels with fat tires and trying to fit them on their Hondas, but that's not not what you are seeing here.

You can fit low offset wheels on hondas, it just takes some mods. Firstly, you have to run the right size tires, for a 15in wheel id suggest 195/45/15. Wheel width plays a huge part in what offset you can run. For example a 15x12in wheel wont fit with any offset but you can pull of a +13 on a 8in wheel (see sicc83's BBS RM) Fender rolling isnt a must but it helps, and finally a little negative camber never hurt anyone. good luck

S2000's run much higher offset than civic and integras do, so i dont think there ar many s2000's with offsets that low.

a +15mm and in a 15x8 would require flares unless you have crazy camber w/ i dont think would work well. and deftones said it correct when he said "i suggest you kids spend some time on google or something spinning yourself on offset, rim width and tire compatibility before you come on here and make yourself look stupid and TRENDY"

Judging by the car, i would say they are BBS RM (like sicc83) and by the looks of it the fronts are 15x8 and the rears 15x9

...listen...

perfect ET for EG, EJ and EK is 32+...

a 20+ ET is usefull, looks nice, don't need flares of any type...

a 15x8 rims with 15+ ET is surely extreme, but with the correct setting of suspension and camber they look good, looks at sicc's car, i mean, it's perfect

damn that looks like ****.

I have +36 Weds with 195/50 15's on my EJ8 and I need to camber the front in like 1* or so to keep it from rubbing.

Fixed just for you since you couldn't figure that out.

The black GTI has 15x8 front 15x8.5 rear. He's the guy that shot the pics of my car. VWs are a totally different story as far as wheel fitments go.
