tranny fluid, pooring from fill hole...
I know that you are suppose to fill up the tranny till the oil is level is even with the bottom of the bolt hole, the thing is i put the fluid in, and after i remove my hose the fluid drains out, i put my finger in the hole to see if its level and there is no fluid even near the hole but it keeps pooring out... yes it is the fill hole to the left of the passenger side axle (b series).... Why wont it fill and where is the fluid coming from or am I just doing something stupid and wrong.....
The reason i am working on filling is when my car warms up it gets really tough to put into gear... downshifting, up shifting, or even just trying to get into gear at a dead stop.....
The car slides wonderfully through all 5 gears and reverse when the car is off so i have eliminated the thought of the problem being my shift linkage...
Any help is well appreciated

First open the the hole where you check the level on the tranny. Its fit for a ratchet to open it. Then open the fill hole. Place the fluid through the fill hole till it starts coming out the hole you just opened to check fluid.
The reason why the oil comes right out is because there is no air. Or you can just open the hole to check fluid and then take out your vss and pour it through there if it just gets too frustrating for you.

the fill hole is the check hole.... or am i wrong
Theres two holes in all?? one higher one (17mm) to check the level and add if needed and a lower one to drain, which is the one fit for a 3/8 ratchet

i think the fill hole is the 17mm....the 3/8 one is the drain.. not what he said above ^^^
either way...the top one is the fill, and bottom is drain. i think i have a feeling that you might be filling it thru the drain...which would make it obvious why its pouring out...there is two to take off. just make sure you are getting the right one

what are you using to fill it? is it one of the those long tubes with a funnel? make sure its going into the fill whole all the way...in some experiences if the tube is not somewhat all the way in...and just in a little...it'll start dripping. if it is in all the way make sure its not full and the one that is pouring out...is not from spilling i guess? hope i can help but can't.....i just did my transmission fluid change and i did many hondas....and its pretty simple...

I agree I also put some fluid in this same tranny a couple months ago, i knew it wasnt all the way full, i just didnt have time so i put it off for awhile and got around to it yesterday..
I made sure the hose was all the way in there, i might have to try another method such as removing the started and the fill bolt and filling from the the plug under the started till fluid poors out?
