About 2 weeks ago I cleaned my engine off so I could try and diagnose an oil leak, I check today I just as I suspected it is my exhaust cam seal.

but while I was checking that, I noticed what seams to be coolant coming from a unusual place...


It looks as if that whole piece can be replaced, but I wanted to get all of your thoughts on the matter as well.

Being that the exhaust cam seal doesnt have coolant anywhere near it (it seals oil in, not coolant) and that piece there is a water neck....I'd say you are correct. Anyway, that is most likely the source for the above reasons....its a pretty easy part to replace, 2 bolts and 2 hoses.....and some sealant around the new one. Also, depending how much they are at the dealer, you might check the classifieds....I know I just trashed 20+ of them because they were getting in the way.

 

Yes I know this has nothing to do with my cam seal, I just happened to see this while I was checking my cam seal.

same thing happening to me...ima try and throw sum hondabond around it...if it doesnt work..replace it...
