Right this is purely a bit of information for ya'all. In NZ here, we have a plentiful supply of all things JDM. So, naturally when the DC5 Came out, many people wanted to up the car to JDM level. One gentleman has allready done so. Here are some 'notes' from the conversion, and a list of what is needed to complete it, with come gotchya's:
Parts Needed:
* JDM Pistons
* JDM Cams
* Port Matched Throttle Body (JDM is good)
* Hand finished higher flowing Inlet Manifold
* JDM Ecu
* Feul Pressure Damper
* JDM Header (optional, I'd get a after market)
* Exhaust (optional, again I'd go with After Market)
Notes:
* Engine needs 98 octane ++
* Engine ran lean after initial conversion. This was due to a bad placement of the Cat / Sensor positioning. Lean = censor forward, rich = censor back
* JDM Exhaust hit the NZ spec (same width as rsx) swaybar. Larger one needed to be fitted / current exhaust needed to be modified.
Results?
25kw gain, 13NM with intake, 0-100 in 6.0 flat - TIMED! The car was dyoned but we have no figures available yet.
Hope this helps you all (re: fuel rail, intake side of things)!
I can scan article if wanted.

Costs were not too much - I have quotes from Honda for the parts -
Cams NZ$2,200
Inlet manifold NZ$805
JDM ECU NZ$1,475
Pistons ~NZ$3000 (not confirmed)
That's not too bad... Well, in my mind. $7.5k - then you pay for header and exhaust, and fuel Damper which will be another $2.5k, so all up it'll be round $10k - labour to do it.
Thats about $8k AUS or $3.5K US.
Hope that helps. Article will be scanned when I get access to a scanner.

I also heard that the JDM DC5R has triple synchromesh on 3rd and 4th gears...Just thought i'd throw that in!
Btw have you driven the car mentioned? How does it feel? Hows the torque steer?

No I haven't drive said car.
I would have parted with the extra money aswell for the JDM Spec. No quibbles there.
As for syncros, I read it was 3 on 1,2,3 and 2 on 4,5,6.
Hmmm.
