It all depends on if it's totaled. My DA got rear ended last November, and it really wasn't that bad, but they totaled it anyway. I wanted to keep it, and have them take 250 out of the check I was receiving, but the salvage inspection was so backed up they wouldn't wait that long. Take it to a few different shops...and I'll tell you one thing about it, it's going to be the biggest pain in the *** you've ever experienced.

Take it to one or two body shops of your choice, and ask for an estimate. Most body shops provide free estimates, and they work with your insurance company to get reimbursed for the claim (less your deductible).

That depends on your insurance company. Some companies are a lot better at dealing with claims than others. But again, if it's not totalled, just let your body shop deal with the insurance company.

If the work ends up more than the quote, they would give you a supplemental check. But they would only cover up to the cost of regular parts. If the work is going to be more because you want a jdm frnt end, they aren't going to give you more money.

whal3_p3nis is correct, although I'm not sure that that's what you were asking. Just to answer your question more directly, though...

Like did you like know like that you like use the word like a lot?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by gerbcrx &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the place where they sent me say for instance they tell me its 1200 to fix and then i bring it to a shop of my prefenrence and they quote me a diff price say higher

If you want to have it fixed at the shop of your preference, let them work it out with your insurance company. All body shops do this. Usually, they will either lower their estimate, or they will get the insurance company to raise their reimbursement; either way, all YOU have to pay is your deductible.
