Default accord keeps dying

my girlfriends 1994 accord lx has been acting up lately. it will start up and drive fine, but unpredictably the car will just die. no sputter, it just dies. sometimes after it dies it will start back up, and sometimes it will just crank and crank and you have to wait an hour or so for it to start back up. i pulled the ecu codes today and i got code 15 which is "Ignition output signal". this obviously led me to believe that the problem lies in the ignition system rather than the fuel system. ive heard that if it was a bad coil, the car will still run but it will run rough and break up. i also heard that if the igniter goes bad, the car wont start period. this leads me to the distributor. anyone have any ideas?

Despite me not being to sure, I would support that as a good possibilty. I know I've seen a lot of posts recently concerning cars randomly shutting off while driving.
Try the search and you might get a good yield and many solutions.
