This would be a tough decision for me personally. The Integra could be resold to most people for more money, but you'd have a hard time finding another good rust free '89 Civic Si.
It depends on what you're looking for. If you just want a comfortable, dependable daily driver, go for the Integra. If you're an "EF" fan and/or into motorsports, you'd probably prefer the Civic.

"Way better car" is a matter of perspective and needs. I could actually put an '89 Civic to much better use than an OBD-2 Integra. The MY89 ED7 is the must-have car for SCCA STS-class autocrossing; no Integra can currently beat it on a national level, and it's cheaper to run. A clean and rust-free example is also worth a lot of money - in some rare cases, more than the Integra would be. I'd personally pay more for a clean, rust-free, unmolested white '89 Civic Si than I'd pay for the Integra. Obviously someone else agrees with me, or else they wouldn't be offering their Integra on trade for his car.
"Faster"? No, actually they have proven to be roughly the same.

What does that have to do with anything?
A rust free '89 Civic Si is not worth $1000, particularly in the rust belt. I'd pay $1000 for just the shell alone with nothing on it but doors, brake lines, and fuel lines . . .

keep the EF!!!! deffinetly integras are over rated, save up 200 dollars and put an ls motor in the ef same thing but will beat the integra in most cases ef's are kooler in my point of view, if someone says turbo the ls turbo the d15 just as easy or what ever lol flip a coin...

It's obvious that you've never lived in the rust belt.

Try to put it on CL and see how much you could get! I'd say if it's rust free in good condition, you can get at least $2k no joke!

i would look at it this way, why does this person want to trade, its because hell have a mint civic he could just do a swap in and it would be sick, plus integras are everywhere i tink i see like 15 every time i drive somewere and i dont even look at them, but if a nice ef drove by i deffenitly would be checkin it out, just my opinion
well i decided to trade and if i need to i'll trade down the road. As for now i am gonna try and see what can be done with the ls on a limited budget and see if i like the integra.
BUT I AM NOT A TRAITOR I STILL LOVE EF'S

You've got to do what you think is best for your needs. Good luck with the Integra

They are harder to find
more tegs have been sold and more peeps are willing to get rid of them
Think about it,, you buddy wants to trade that nice teg for your CRX
It must be worth keeping then

It was a Civic HB Si....If it was a CRX for a Teg then he would be dumb because a 2nd gen CRX is like the "69 Camaro" of civic based cars imo
