surprised i havent got round to asking this yet..

i have a UKDM 1.6i-16 Hatch (JDM DOHC ZC Si). its got the L3 gearbox but doesnt seem to have an LSD? i thought all Si/L3's came with an LSD? is it possible i do indeed have an LSD but i just need to change the oil in the gearbox or something?

i can post up the full part number on the box if that helps.

also out of curiosity can an L3 such as mine be used with the likes of a B series? thats my backup plan should my ZC pop before or when i turbo it. B series + L3 would be quite a handfull lol

 

you cant use a D tranny with a B motor and visa versa.

if you have LSD you can do 2 things to find out. One is take the axles out of the tranny and look in the hole where they go and you should be able to see all the way thru with out anything in the way. if there is a bar in the way you dont have LSD.

and the second way has to do with the car on jack stands and you spin your wheels. but i dont remember what is suppose to happen

 

no LSD and the wheels spin either independently or the opposite way from the other and LSD they spin the same way i think?
