Default h23vtec questions SEARCHED

why do you need to use the H22 water piping?

Can you use the h23 thermostat housing and thermostat? i heard you need h22, is that true?

whats the difference between the h23 and h22 water pump? the teeth on the gear?

whats a good aftermarket oil pump for this set up?

You have to use H22 water piping as you called it and the thermostat housing and the H22 water pump. Yes there is a different amount of teeth between the waterpumps. If its a basic setup a stock oil pump is more then enough if your going to be making big power I would recommend the endyn oil pump I have one myself works for me no problems thus far

just to let you know I just recently bought a pipe and housing...the h22 looks just the same except the pipe is larger in diameter..and the end that goes to the housing is not at such a sharp degree angle going up. The housing is needed cause the pipe is large so in bore in the housing needs to be the same size.

the housing is needed because the h23 housing will not bolt to the h22 head.

I doubt it . You would have to make a plate and line the holes up threw the housing/head passage and make some type of adapter on the same plate to make up for the smaller end of the black pipe going into the housing fit since it so much smaller. IMO all that would be wasted effort when you could have just done it the RIGHT way and not have it leak its *** off which it most likey will. Just my 2cents but i dunno shyt.
