thats an OBD2 engine, harness and ecu going into an OBD0 car, most if not all the plugs are different, if you ahve the full uncut harness for the y8 I would just install it as a whole, that will eliminate alot of hassles for you right off the bat.

You have to rewire the Dx harness to make it a MPFI harness I make these harnesses all the time if you like one made feel free and email me at --->>> http://WWW.monotech@verizon.net use the OBD-0 Si distributer and PM6/PG7/ or PR4 ecu's and to make your v-tec work you can just add a Autometer/MSD activator box and a v-tec sub harness. This will be the cheapest way to go and you can also use the rpm activator like a v-tec controller has pills for where ever you like your v-tec to crack.

You'll first need to convert from DPFI to MPFI. Then for best results use an ECU adaptor from OBD0 to OBD1 or 2. You'll need to do some additional wiring for your injectors and alternator. You'll need to get an SI distributor and use an OBD0 to OBD2 distributor adaptor. Then add the wiring for VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch, 4 wire O2, and knock sensor (OBD2 ECU only). The tranny won't work in yours without a cable to hydro adaptor.

When I had a y8 swap in my crx dx, I just stripped it down to the block/head and put everything from my crx motor onto it: alternator, starter, dizzy, IM, etc etc. This way your still running everything the same as your obd0 setup, but you get the cleaner motor. I then ran the MSD box with the rpm pills for vtec, but if you really want the performance/gas mileage out of the vtec setup, do it all at once and convert to obd1.
