after 5 years i've finally left the honda/acura family for something else and picked up this:











2001 IS300 with 94k miles, and clean as fawk inside and out. picked it up from the dealership i work at for $12,991 with like another $595 for GAP insurance. clean carfax report and the previous owner was a girl in our accounting dept

 

NOt crazy about it... even for that price

my friend picked up the same one(condition) in silver with about 50k for 14g's

but good luck

i know i didn't get an insanely good deal, but i feel like i got a very reasonable price. around here an is300 in the same condition as mine with same mileage go for around 2000-3000 more. plus it helps i get an employee discount . in the end, the down payment, monthly payment, and insurance fitted my budget and that to me was what mattered most.

besides, for every $1000 difference in price of a car is only a $20-25 difference in your monthly payment anyways.

 

as long as youre happy..thats all that matters..congrats

what do you want him to do? get some tight carbon fiber ones!?! or some cheap looking all red ones. that would probably look like ****.

 

not much you can do, but imo those jdm is300 tail light covers they make for it look even worst. i'm probably gonna swap them out with tail lights from an 04-05 because they had the gunmetal tinted tail lights.

but i'll admit this, when they first came out in 2000-2001 everyone and their mom (including myself) thought the tail lights was the tightest **** since sliced bread.

thanks. its really funny how i bought the car. its been sittin on our lot for the last 2 weeks and i liked it, but did not seriously intended on trying to buy it, and i came into work like any other day and planned on working my 9-6 shift. just basically planned the day out and be productive. little did i know i'd be driving home in that thing later that night...haha.

that is true. when i go to sign papers my finance manager will give me a bunch of different warranty options i can get so i'm not too worried.

13k isn't too bad for a clean black one. Black is one of the most desirable colors.

They would get about the same amount, give or take a few hundred, by taking it to a Manheim auction on the west coast.

they do, but just hard as hell to find!!

i actually preferred an automatic due to the fact that i get stuck in a lot of bumper to bumper traffic and it feels nice to just cruise for once.

yeah it was a trade-in from one of the girls that work in our accounting department. brings peace of mind to me and made it that much easier to make a buying decision for me.
