idel problem

Default idel problem

i got a 91 dx with a 95 1.6 vtec it idels at 3 grand any one know what it might be or had this problem

i have a ls-turbo, and having the same problem, just that it only idel at 3,000 when its cold and trying to heat up..but onces its heat up, it goes from 1,000-2,500 back and fourth and repeats for a while....

it stays at 3,000 rpm even when it warms up it does not go up in down stays a 3,000 rpm need help asap gets on my nervs

I'd check for vacuum leaks, make sure the idle is adjusted correctly, and use a can of carb cleaner to spray around the intake gasket area to see if the idle drops. If it does, thats a good indicator that you've got a blown gasket.

As stated before its most likely a vac leak spray some carb cleaner around the T/b and intake manifold and see if the idle changes
