quick CRX question(s)...
Rack and pinion is the mechanism used to make the wheels turn. Think of a drill press setup...when you spin the handle it makes the drill move downward, turn it the opposite way, it moves back up. Same basic thing for rack and pinion.
And I've never seen a crx with power steering yet, although my 89 hatchback used to have power steering, and I've seen a couple 4-door ef sedans with it as well.

I just searched for 20 minutes for an underhood shot of Crxforums ef8 sir. In japan they came with them, his has ps, abs, ac ect. But pretty much you dont need it car is very easy to drive without it.

I think I kinda get it...although last time I drove one was a b16 swap crx hf model, but only for a few sec. which was a long time ago....
So with it beeing so light, is it then different from driving the 92-95 cx/dx ciivc with non-power steering? Cuz I've driven those and at first it was a bit of work but it takes a little to get use to it...So then the crx would be kinda like that but only a bit of less work to turn the wheels then eh?
Also say if I wanted to do a swap, could I just bring over the power steering from whatever motor into the CRX too when doing the swap if I wanted it?Thanks guys....

haha yeah it sucks living in Queens with no power steering

i have a crx b16 swap w/o power steering and its really easy to steer. the wheels/rims and tires you have will also make a difference in steering. i have rota slipstreams on falken ziexs and my steering is very good. it actually feels like i have power steering. When i had some integra ls wheels it was harder to turn that when i had the rotas. the crx is really light and power steering isnt needed at all imho.
