Horn difficulties
ok, my horn hasn't worked since i bought my car, and after inspecting the actually horn unit itself, i found it to be damaged, so i replaced it. still doesnt work tho. it isnt the horn itself b/c it is brand new. and i pretty sure it isnt the fuse or horn button cuz i checked both myself as well. so it must be the wiring somewhere in between.
after tracing the path from the horn button forward, i found that the line from the button runs into the same connector as the cruise control switches. i think this may be where the problem lies. u see, i have the cruise control buttons in my car, but i dont have the actual unit that pulls the throttle cable under the hood. does the wire from the button to actual horn run through this as well? and maybe wen the cruise control was removed this was disconnected or cut? i have looked all around and havent been able to solve this.
can anyone help me? with my already small car lowered, SUVs never see me wen im rite next to them and threaten to run me over, and i can't even give them a warning beep!

i'm sure its not the fuse cuz all the other items that share the same fuse with the horn work perfectly fine and i've never had any problems with them.
i was just thinking that since the horn and cc run off the same connecter in the steering wheel, that they mite run together through the engine bay and actual cruise control unit itself. and if my cruise control box under the hood is missing, maybe this accidentally disconnected the wiring between the wheel and actual horn?
should i just try to trace the wiring all the way through the system and hope i can spot the problem? or can i just bypass all of the trouble and just run new wiring straight from the button to the horn?
