Ok so heres the deal, i have a megan racing 4-1 header and (obviously longer than the 94-99 gsr) and i have an espelir jgt500 exhaust for a 94-99 gsr. so my question is this, i am trying to get a high flow catalytic converter for it but i don't know what is going to be too tall/long/short etc. i don't mind taking it to the exhaust shop to have some flanges welded on/ extensions and what not. i can't buy a direct replacement cat can I? if so for what model and years. also the header has a 2.5 collector so i wanted to get a 2.5 in cat for it. i was looking at getting the magnaflow ( carsound ) cat but i don't know which model to get. any help/ tips on this issue would be nice.

 

i think i saw a 2.5 inch cat from the jdm itr on sale from.... crap, i forgot what site. search around for it. if anyone else knows, feel free to inform

will the smsp cat pass emissions? i need something thats going to make me pass on the sniffer. also what are the prices like on the smsp ones? i know the magnaflow ones are pretty cheap. any more info would be appreciated. thanks

pm smsp. Yes, he can make you one that passes emissions.

 

You'll need one of my 12" long 300 cell cats. They are OBDII compliant and rated for up to 6000lbs so you shouldn't have a problem with emissions as long as the car is in a good state of tune.
