Default D16Y7 Swap

ok everyone i need help here... i have been trying to get my car working for a long time now and still now luck, I have a 1997 D16Y7 non vtec in my 89 Crx Si. everything is in but it still wont start. it just cranks and cranks, i replaced the underdash and the engine harness cause i had a mess with all and the ones i have now are perfect and not cut.. my OBD0 distributor got tested and they said it was good, but when im cranking the car i dont get any spark.....WHAT COULD IT BE HELP ME OUT... do i need to change ECU or do any wire tapping with this swap?? also since its OBD2 do i need to change anything since im using OBD0.... by the way i replaced the OBD2 intake manifold,tranny,distributor, and alternator with the OBD0 ones.

is the dizzy on right? it can be put on 180 degrees off.

i did the same thing like two weeks ago in my 89 hatch si i dont know if you messed with the timing but if you did i think it off have some one turn the crane and put your palm on the throttle body and see if it suck any air if not timing is offl. if i was you i would use the original intake manifold of the y8 and get obd0 throttle body b16 they are cheap and make sure you are useing the y8 cam so you can time it Hanyes repair manual will tell you how to time a y8. good luck.

i dont think it can because it will not go in if it is 180 degrees

well im about to do a similar swap but the y7 which is close i guess, but im using an obd1 ecu with obd0 conversion harness and i was told after that it should be plug n play i hope i dont run into the same problem good luck tho

its on right... i also noticed that when i first got the motor the distributor it has was sitting different it has a slant to it, and where the OBD0 one sits straight... does that have anything to do with it?

i put the same motor in my boys 91 si rex i used the 91 si intake manifold and dizzy every thing worked fine ran hard as hell it must be out of timing

easy swap hardest part is takeing the d16a6 out lol
