Default blown motor. should i buy it?

i know this guy that blew an engine in a 2000 prelude, type sh i believe.
he said the engine block was blown.

I want to buy the head and all that jazz?
whats a good price to pay for heads off a blown motor? and is there anything else i should get out of the block that is useful.

let me knowif you want something out of the block (crankshaft and etc.) i can get anything out of it and sell it and ship.

Well first you need to get his definition of "blown". Blown could be anything from shot piston rings to throwing a rod through the block.

It only has 1 head, and you probably need to figure out exactly what he means by 'blown' before anyone can tell you what to buy off of it.

Well like i said, you dont know how much to spend unless you know the damage. If it has spun bearings your gonna have to maching the mains, and if its to severe the block and crankshaft might be destroyed. If he broke the timing belt and the piston slapped some valves there could be catastrophic head damage. My point is it all depends what the damage is. He could sell you the engine for $200 but it might cost you $2000 in machine shop rebuild cost to have it be of use.

Me personally i would only buy it if it had fried piston rings, even if it had sleeve damage because you can always re-sleeve it. Anything past that and i would seriously look elsewhere.
