what the heck is the difference?
how hard or long does it take to install the front + rear strut bar?

what is the bar inside the engine compartment called? I thought it was
the anti-sway bar, but there's also a tower tie bar...what is the difference? I'm confused

 

Strut tower bar = strut bar = tower bar = tie bar = strub brace = strut tower brace = upper front/rear bars/braces. They are all the same. Only the lower tie bars are different, they are below the car. Front install is 5 minutes, rear you have to cut the sides of the trunk cover, that should take 20 minutes.

 

so the strut bar (and all the other names) is the one under the hood.

and the lower tie bar (isn't there a front and a rear one) is the one under your car ? ^_^

what's the stabilizer bar then?

Stabilizer is aka sway bar, anti-sway bar.......it is under the car.

so there's 4 bars total

strut bar = inside engine
lower front + rear tie bar = under car
anti-sway bar = under car = stabilizer bar

where is the front lower tie bar located? is it near the anti-sway bar? I'm looking at the Haynes manual and it doesn't have any mention of those =P thanks guys.
