Default Cage in 300Zx super unlimited car.......

Here are some pictures of a super unlimited car we are building at L//Con Racecar fab and engineering. It should make about 600hp and weight under 2900 lbs

We removed the 4 wheel steering heavy *** rear subfram that goes along with it. secured a fiberglass hatch, fenders, doors, and hood. Along with removing all of the luxury nonsense we should be pretty close.

In there pictures the car is not quite finished yet as the door bars and some more dimple die plates needed to get added to the car.

If you have any questions or comments feel free to fire at will, but not me.

No offense intended but are all those bars necessary? At some point does the additional weight offset the stiffness benefit? Just wondering.

i think the bars alone will offset all the luxury stuff you removed

too many bars at the back imo

Now that is a cage.
Bars don't weigh much, but properly designed, add alot of stiffness.
The gussets with holes/dimples are sexy. Very functional too.
Excellent stuff.

I'm suprised they didn't go with more of a kicked out door bar section.
Any reason?

I remember seeing that car for the first time! and till now im still amazed.....

Louie's mind is 1 of a kind. Great guy crazy too. I know you guys got more pics i want to see more....

From what louie told me is that the bars are from keeping the driver safe if a crash at more 180mph might occur....hopefully it dont.

Just seems like the protection from a side impact in the driver door might not be as good as the nascar style bars:
