Default Specialty Products Camber kit

I got the Specialty Products camber kit professionally installed on my 98 Integra. They had to roll the lip on the fender so that the upper control arm wouldn't rub against it. It was fine for a while, but I noticed that it still made a "knocking" or "rubbing" sound especially after I have the e-brake disengaged or when I would turn the wheels on unleveled road.

Anyway, I took it to the shop again and they still couldn't figure out why. It was their first time experiencing a problem like this. They were nice enough to order an Ingalls kit for me, but I have to wait again to have it installed.

Just wondering if anyone had the same problem with the specialty products kit.

How low is your car? I have that camber kit and no rubbing problems. It's just squeaky as a ****.

holy crap! That little knocking noise like after u brake and the car stops and the weight transfers? its not like hard braking either jus normal moderate braking.. Man if thats the camber kit Everytime i heard it id wonder what it was from.. And yeah it does it when i turn also, but i only notice it when im stationary, i cant hear it when im in motion. I also rolled the fender lip, Ive had my kit on for id say a good 2 months. but other than the knocking (assuming its the camber kit) no problems, the knock hasnt gotten any louder or anything either...

any other opinions?

edit: id rather have it make that knocking noise than squeeking, as long as it isnt doing harm.

Well, I don't have any problems with squeaking. Just the knocking. It doesn't bother me that much, but I would like to get it fixed. My car is lowered with H&R Sport (1.75" in front) and I'm using KYB AGX shocks. I don't think the height is the problem since I didn't have this problem until the camber kit was installed (unless the camber kit lowers it some more).

Did anyone watch the install? I did and I noticed the guy didn't reinstall the flat metal piece, kind of like a brace that attaches to the anchor bolts and upper control arm. I asked him about it and he said you don't have to install it. I just want to make sure.

my kit worked for me too. at first i had it out too far so everytime i hit a bump or made a turn, the tires would run against the fender lip. so I moved it in a lil and its fine now...

If I were to get a camber kit, I think I would prefer the Skunk2 upper control arms, after hearing about all this stuff w/ these other kits. Looks to me like it would be easier to adjust, as well. Oh well, for now my tire wear is just fine so no camber kits for me.

Yeah, it's not a loud knock sound, but it's there. A passenger might not notice it, but I hear every sound that comes from my car.

Does anyone know about the flat metal piece I'm referring to? It looks like a flat metal brace with 2 holes for the anchor bolts and sits between the anchor bolts and the upper control arm.
