Another Valve Spring Question (Searched)
First off, I wanna say how I feel sorry for everyone in the ITR forum... you have to put up with all of the Honda-Tech lackeys that wander in here... for which i apologize up front.
For the problem at hand, I happen to have a set of ITR valvesprings (like everyone else and his mother.)
They are indeed used, and the Yellow (intake) and Blue (exhaust) paint has worn off. Now, I have lined all of the springs up on a level surface and measured them all. As it turns out, I had the following results:
8 Tall Outer Springs
8 Tall Inner Springs
8 Short Outer Springs
8 Shout Inner Springs
This is of course a minimal difference, but by no means negligible. It is noticeable, so I know that I am not making it up. Besides the differences in height, I couldn't find any other distinguishing marks or anything. Does anybody know which are intake side and which are exhaust side?
I can only assume that the tall inners go with the tall outers, and vice versa, but I've been wrong in the past.
So does anybody know the answer as to if the taller springs go on the intake or the exhaust side?
Thanks in advance!
