Default Rota wheels.

Has any one had bad experiences with rota wheels? Looking to buy some rims in a few months, but don't want to drop alot of coin. Trying to save for a house. Any majors probs with this brand?

rota is usually pretty good. i might be picking up some used ones this week for like $250. search around and u can find some cheaper than buying brand new.

They are fine, don't listen to all the haters. I had a set on my '02 WRX and a set on my '05 STi and neither had any issues with our horrible roads in MI, or use at the track. There have been some issues in the past, but nothing incredibly bad and if you do break or curb one badly it is cheaper to buy a whole new set than just one Volk/Work/etc wheel. Just remember that wheels are wear items and replace them whenever you see stress cracks or anything of the sort.

So I stuck now on what wheels to get, either Rota c10's, Work xd9's, or break the bank, and get Volk ce28's. Can't decide.

Which ones did you decide to get? I was thinking about getting the Circuit 10's or the Torque. But instead I got some Bronze Weds Sport Sa-90's.

Rota's have been know to crack under pothole abuse.

Also, dont support rota.

They are the reason's that good companies ( like SSR) are out, or are going out of business.

The make products that resemble the real deal, but are far inferrior in quality.

SSR= Forged/Lightweight/More Pricey
Rota= Crappy Cast/Heavier/Cheap

not trying to defend rota, but sometimes the real deal guys don't ALWAYS make the lightest rims...

Rotas rims are fairly light, especially for the price. It does suck that company like SSR just went out of business too

Along with every other wheel, your tire choice affects the damage done by impacts more than wheel choice. I'll show you a variety of the finest wheels on earth, all destroyed by the streets.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Vantage &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">They are the reason's that good companies ( like SSR) are out, or are going out of business.</TD></TR></TABLE>

How many people out there with SSR money decide to buy Rotas? None.

Different markets. If anything, Rota bringing those styles to the masses increased SSR's sales because it brought attention to the real thing. Somebody with Rotas now will aspire to own the real thing when their wallet gets fatter.

This anti-rota push from password and others, does nothing but increase their own profits. SSR doesn't make any dough there, and they don't make a penny off of the used wheel market, which is where 95% of the "jDm d00dz" are getting their wheels from.
