Thanks to the HUGE help from Sonic (Tech /Competition forum), my Exedy clutch and flywheel are in as of last night. I got the race clutch w/ organic disc and 9.1 lb chromoly flywheel.
It needs to be broken in, but off the bat, it's really nice. Pedal feel is much firmer compared to the limp stocker, but certainly not overly firm. I'm already used to it. Its engagement/pickup point is lower than stock, which is nice, because it makes the car feel much less 'boggy' from the start.
The flywheel is sweet. Aside from being beautiful (and now invisible) its light weight isn't much of a problem. I've heard enough stories if lightweight flywheels being difficult in reverse, stop-and-go, on hills... blah. It's fine. The car needs a teeny bit more juice off the line, but it's nothing to get used to. The revs fall of VERY fast between shifts, but this can be ignored in around town driving or, solved by shifting a bit quicker. Again, no biggie. It's very 'revvy' now. The engine is really freed up.
We also threw in an ES insert on the rear mount only. Zero additional vibration and we'll see if it helps wheelhop when she hits the strip.
I can't wait 'til everything is broken in so I can give the car a good flogging. Only 450 miles of stop-and-go left...
