Ok I just got new tires and rims...well of course I put them on and I get a crazy
vibrating bumpy feeling. I made sure everything was tight, lug nuts are fine and there are no wheel thats unbalanced right?? How bad is it to drive with unbalanced wheels?? I have to go like 5 miles to work....can I make it?

Did you do it yourself? I work at discount tire and yes balancing is a big deal. Did you set everything to the right torque specs?

I'd get them balanced ASAP, but if you need to get to work tomorrow morning then you'll be fine. Just don't put it off for more than a few days

Also look into Hub Centric Rings . That might be your problem. Get your wheels balanced first, then if the problem is still there .. then order a set of these for your wheels and your problem is gone. Search and you'll get results.

I doubt its a wheel bearing since my car was fine until i changed the rims and tires.

definitely need hub rings. also, even with the rings its possible to put the wheel on slightly off. just make the sure that when you put the wheels on that the wheel lugs are centered in there holes.

First thing you should do is take your wheels to a local tire shop and have them double check the balancing on the wheels, then if you still have vibrations check the bearings, then get some hub centric rings, then if you still have vibrations it could be bad axles...

x2 good instructions

Tire are not a perfect circle when they are made, therefore getting the balanced is a must.

lol, not exactly
the tire should be pretty close to a circle or you would never get a smooth ride......for example having a flat spot on a tire from locking up the brakes

balancing corrects the mismatch of the tire and rim.....the weight of both is what's not evenly dispersed when they are made......lol sometimes you can get a tire and rim that coordinate and balance eachother out without any weights......or if the match is way off you can turn the tire 180deg on the rim and lower the amount of weight needed to get it to zero.

however, if you have a bent wheel or out of round tire then the ride will never be smooth

Glad to hear that a balance/remount fixed your problem.
When you say new tires/rims, do you mean brand-spanking new from a company or brand-new but from a private seller?

If it was from a company, I'd like to know who it was if you don't mind mentioning their name.

Yeah the were brand spanking new. And I dont mind telling anyone about the crappy company because ive had so many problems with them..first off i only got three rims from them and the customer service blamed it on fedex and of course fedex blames it on them. then they wont ship the 4th tire until they get claim back from fedex!! so i say f that and told them to charge my card for one more wheel and ship it asap so i can put them on...and they were supposed to put the money back in my account after they get claim back.....well of course no money yet. THen to top it off they cant even mount the tire right or balance them!!! Now ive also had to spend an extra $75 getting everything balanced and mounted right! So im calling them back and making them put money back in the account or im contacting better business!

So moral of the story stay away from wheelsnext.
Im sure some of have seen the site and if not just google it and stay far far away!

Ah, I had a sneaking suspicion it was wheelsnext or one of those companies.

Thanks for the warning!
