Drove an 06 TSX in comparison to my 97 SH
My daily driver is a 97sh with 158k miles on it, rebuilt about 10k miles ago with type S pistons, rocket cams, koni yellows, and H&R drop springs, strut bar, sway bar, stainless steel brake lines, 15 inch rota slipstreams, dc header and apexi WS2 exhaust, AEM V2 and tuned with a VAFC2 and 310cc RC injectors.
So that is the basis from which I am comparing, a car that is fairly reliable, handles really well, scrapes a lot on speedbumps and **** and is overall a good daily driver that I have probably invested about 11k in including the purchase of the car about 1 1/2 years ago.
Last night I test drove an 06 TSX and was just blown away by how much better in many respects it was. Quieter, and the lude is not loud by any means, phenomonal shifter and clutch, just effortless and fun to change gears, car just wants to be tossed about although I can tell you wouldn't want to corner with it as hard as I do in my lowered lude. The integrated bluetooth, heated seats etc...are all nice features.
So now I am seriously considering selling the lude and moving to the TSX as I can't see any combination of mods that will make the lude match the TSX in general driving experience particularly with the fantastic shifter in the TSX.

remember that part of the reason why the TSX shifts so much smoother is because it is brand new and isnt worn out.
I like TSXs a lot too, one will be my next car, but that will be a while.
I really dont like the G35 coupe, at least the last generation, which I have driven. The interior feels/looks cheap, and blind spots are too big for my taste. Comparing a G35 isnt fair anyway considering it is a 6 cyl, apples and oranges.

well Justint what are you looking for in a car. If your looking for a sports coupe for mainly performance, then both are good. The TSX is heavier, and I think you have already felt that going through corners and what not. TSX's also have 4 doors, so if you are looking for somewhat family oriented vehicle its also good. Out of the box the TSX is an all around better car. Technology has moved forward since 1997 however switchn to a TSX wouldnt exactly be an upgrade from my point of view. If your looking for a good DD, you cant go wrong with that. However, I think there is nothing wrong with modifing your lude to match and surpass what comes out of factories today. You dont have to be a ricer. If you want Im pretty sure, some how, you could get heated leather seats and put them in your lude. I mean stuff like that. You said yourself that you invested 11K in your lude already. Just do yourself a favor and dont "trade" in your prelude at the stealership. You will loose alot more of the money you invested that way. Also go to the TSX section of the forum. Not alot of moders or users there. Not really a car people usually modify. I guess the car is marketed towards the middle age, settln down peeps that cant afford a TL. Anyway, I hope you make the right decision. I think if it is possible keep both. I know a few peeps on various forums that got rid of there ludes and are still on the forums talkn about them. Ludes are a rare breed...
I'm not sure if you can compare a prelude to a tsx. The tsx is not as fast in the straight line and although the steering is tighter, I don't think it would handle as well overall as a prelude. I've driven a tsx and a ton of other cars, so trust me. The tsx is simply a nice sports sedan that handles well and is so smooth. That's why it's an acura. An rsx/prelude comparison would be more accurate. My sister owns an rsx and I've autocrossed it and my prelude before, so I can give my 2 cents on that one if you want. The thing is, the tsx is made to be smooth and quiet and calm, the prelude was not.

This is embarrassing to admit, but right after I drove the TSX I drove a TL in a horrible tan/metallic color. I stalled that bit** out constantly for the 20 minutes I test drove it. I don't know what it was, but I couldn't get the clutch engagement right and I drive a manual every day.....I guess I suck at it.
