Default OH, the Humanity!!!!!

What she used to look like:

...And what she looks like now!

Story: My wife and I were just minding our own business and driving straight through an intersection when some idiot decides to turn, traveling the opposite direction, left right in front of me and beat me through the light. This is the result. She was cited for failure to yield.

Expletive'n teenage girl drivers - WITHOUT INSURANCE! Luckily, I am not an idiot and have uninsured motorist coverage. I already bought the car back from USAA and intend to restore it to its former glory, only much better.

BTW: yes, those are BMW hubs on BMW steelies. Don't hate - the wheels were a little rusty and I didn't have a garage to paint them... at the time. Flame on if you want.

Thanks for the support.

Could've been much much worse though, that's actually not bad at all. But I know it still sucks! Would the airbags usually go off in an accident that little? How did the windshield get damaged?

That's what I said. Small, slow impact and *POP*! Bags and chemical gasses in our faces.

Windshield broke when airbags deployed.

Probably. After we impacted she pulled right around into a parking lot across the way. The dude in the car took the rap (it was his car), but we know it was the girl driving because several witnesses said she was. I think the cops just let that one go. Too bad; they could have taken the opportunity to teach a life lesson.

Tennessee in particular has a serious problem with uninsured motorists. They could easily resolve this issue by requiring proof of insurance at registration. But that would be too easy...

In Texas you can't get an inspection sticker or renewed Lic. plate sticker without proof of insurance...but low lifes cancel after they get there sticker.
