Default New Starter put in

94 Accord Ex

I just replaced my starter because the old one died.
No issues with putting it on, start it up, it starts first try.

But recently It seems really weak when it starts. I'm not sure maybe the two wires are a little too loose, but it just doesn't seem really strong when it starts. The lights on my dash dim for a bit. Today it didn't even start, i popped the hood pushed the wires in and it started up.

I guess my question is. Do new starters act weird at first? or is it just the wires not being in so tight?

the wires definately need to be on tight in order for the starter to get a good enough connection to turn the engine over
definately something worth fixing

i would suspect the battery it may be getting weak and is lacking the CCA'S that it had when new
