Default California Duster on a Berlina Black s2k owned? yes? no? maybe so?

Just took 5 hours detailing my car, got every minor scratch and swirl mark out of my car, and all you BB s2k owners know how hard it is to keep black clean. Within like 30 mins of driving there is dust on my car. Theory says, if you use a california duster on a black car swirl marks will appear again because you are rubbing the dust against the clear coat, however, when I asked 2 professional detailers if this will happen they said no. Hmmm?? any ideas H-T? or should i just email mythbusters? haha thanks in advanced

my coupe used to be a super duper black, made Belina look white type black..

i used it on my coupe with decent results..thats the main reason i went away from black because no mater how clean it is you will see how dirty it is at the same time..

the only time you will see "swirls" from the duster is if the paint/car wasnt clean to begin with.... also a spoiled duster will do that too.. the cleaner it is the better it will pull the dust off your S

they say the dirtier it gets, the better it works. my dad has one for his black 5 series and that thing works wonders! It looks so clean afterwards, no swirl marks. I was suprised when they said that it works better once it gets dirtier, but, its true.

yeah, ive heard that too about it getting better over time.

however, im still not impressed with the results yet. its either just ineffective because they say youre just supposed to let it hover over the surface and not touch, but my dust is always too damn heavy. so i then i have to actally wipe the surface and it just leaves trails and streaks of dust and then holograms afterwards. which then i have to clean up with meguairs detail spray anyway.

i wont be getting a black car again. it takes too much time out of my life with all the detailing i need to do to keep it looking clean, and all the frustration when its not.
