need clutch help fast!
i just put a new clutch kit in my 93 lude and my friend told me that i could use 5w-30 for my tranny cuz i didnt have any 10w-30 on hand so we used that and it drove fine last night not beating on it or anything cuz i know it needs to be broke in and then i left it sit for about an hour and it got pretty cold out in between and i drove it home and it started spuddering in between 1000 and 3000 rpms in every gear, plus i can smell the clutch burning...but after that it runs just fine...so i just put 10w-40 in the tranny today and it is still doing it and it is still burning the clutch, any ideas about what is going on??? could my release bearing be the problem cuz i replaced that as well...help on this would be very helpful cuz i dont have a clue and neither do my buddies
when u put the pressure plate back on did u tighten the bolts to spec? maybe if you tightened them to much it could be causing it to rub all the time...just i thought i could be wrong

You need to torque the pressure plate down in a criss cross pattern. If not the pressure plate could not sit against the clutch properly anf cause you problems. If you went ahead and tighten each bolt one by one with out criss crossing you could have un-even contact between the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel.
Also, are you putting in engine oil in the tranny? Or do you mean 10w-30 tranny fluid? You should really put in either Honda MTF or if not GM Syncromesh, thought your problem seems to be clutch instal error.
