Chassis Code: EJ6
Engine Code: D16Y7 106 hp
Curb Weight: 2238lbs

the motor u have usually doesn't have much potential, I'd get a swap, for something on a budget or what not, get a B16A swap from a 99-00 Civic Si, since they are both OBDII.

for suspension work, etc, best place is probably eBay, or other hook ups from friends, but i have found eBay (gotta be careful) to be pretty good prices.

try some H&R sport springs and KYB AGXs. that cheap little set up has worked well for me over the last year.

Be aware though, that the 96-98 & 99-00 Civics changed there plugs....meaning, the 99-00 Si ECU fits great with the other 99-00 models, but not with the 96-98's, plug-n-play wise.

Here is a link that may help you with the visual.

Koni shocks with Eibach Pro kit springs and a type R rear bar have served me well. 5G SI hatch

your plan is sound, work on the suspension for now. As you improve the handeling of the car though be warned, you will soon find yourself very unsatisfied with the pathetic engine in the CX.

Why dont you try apexi world sports suspension,Apexi exhaust, T3/T4 hybrid, Garret chip, Oettinger cam and Shrick manifold,Airbath intake and 1.8t with a Quaife 6 speed 4K tranny. Then you can be im max power U.K hottest swap of the year. Word! wont cost much.
