those "low mile" ZC trannys are rare. I have never seen one. You would be better off just buying a Quaife and putting it in your tranny. They're better and warrentied for ever! http://www.manufacturersdepot.com has them for 860.00. Guy people, that's where I bought mine.
Or if you want to keep the three piece axles on the ZC tranny you can get the Mugen LSD off king motorsports website for 1300 bucks. Still easier than finding a ZC LSD tranny (that isn't blown up or anything).

good luck
later, Davey

Okay...so what are you willing to pay?

While you may not like it, a completely rebuilt tranny with a LSD for under $1000 is a bargain. You get what you pay for.
The problem with the original OEM ZC trannys is that its hard to find one, but when you do, chances are the LSD is going to be nearing the end of its useful life. And I've looked extensively for a rebuild kit for the clutch packs with no luck.

ya i have been thinkin about getting a obx lsd but still just unsure about the whole "obx" thing... i know there getting better and better but i duno.... im a call a few local tranny shops and see wat they would charge to rebuild my SI tranny.. i mean it doesnt grind right now but i dont wana spend 400 on a lsd and then have my tranny start grinding soon..

also when getting the tranny rebuilt should i just put new syncrows in it or wat? im not a big tranny guy and def. cannot rebuild one my self

the stock D lsd is worthless for anything past 200, you best bet would be to get a quaife of a quaife copy(OBX)

I bought the OBX last year for my YS1 tranny. I'm putting 450hp to the wheels and no problems at all. I've put around 5000 miles on it.

(again) Call gear-speed and get a set of their carbon coated syncrhos. A complete set is about $350 or so. You can sometimes get gears 2-4 for about $250.

When rebuilding transmissions, I like to replace all of the ball bearings, pickup magnet, and oil guides, and I inspect the roller bearings for wear and replace if necessary. I have never had to replace the needle bearings.

I rebuilt my D's transmission about a year ago with all new ball bearings, oil guides, seals, magent, etc (but not synchros) and the parts cost me about $250.

I have only heard bad things about OBX.
In my opinion you get what you pay for. 350 for OBX? or 860 for Quaife? And like
Got_Soy said OBX is just a copy... never the real thing.
Quaife is worth it.

IF you can find on, go with the zc lsd trans, I have one on my zc right now, actually came with my motor from europe. and i HAVE YET to see another one out there. But by all means if any of you guys see one out there i would recommend buying it up, even if you dont have a d-series motor, its STILL a good investment in my eyes. HELL, if i ever come across another EDM 0BD1 version ZC Im gonna jump all over it.
