Making a painted polyurethance body kit ready for paint
I bought a WW body kit for my car and It has already been painted championship white but i have a red car....so i would like to know what should i do to get it ready to be painted red(sanding, primer etc..) Like whats the best way to get the paint off the polyurethane...
Paint thinner??? WTF? Dude, just take some wet sandpaper, and rough up the finish. If you want primer, then spray some primer paint on it as well. (Go to WalMart...cheap stuff) Do a few light coats and then wet sand again. Once the finish is smooth (feel with your hand) then its ready for paint.
just wetsand the bumper till all the clear is gone..use like 300-400 first..then 800 to 1000...until that bumper is smooth..
you can primer it but you will probably have to wet sand that too..its not needed.
good luck
