Im in the process of going towards my goal of a b16a turbo 400wheel setup, and I ballparked the price on how much its going to run me total, and im looking at about 6 grand all said and done.
Stuff adds up quick.
Car to start crx
b16a - have it, 1300
rods and pistons, + 700 - 2000
turbo t3/t4 - 500 - 2500
obx diff - 400 - 2900
obd1 conversion - 200 - 3100
hondata s100b + dyno tuning - 600 - 3700
arp headbolts - 100 - 3800
piping + frontmount - 400 -4200
walbro 255 lph - 100 - 4300
injectors, waste gate, blowoff - 700 - 5000
exhaust - 300 - 5300
downpipe, mani - custom - 600ish - 5900
widband 02 - 300 - 6200
random guages and other stuff i left out - 300 - 6500
hm last time i calculated it was more, must have left something out
so total for the build - 6500, total for the turbo (not counting motor /diff) about 2800$
Anybody else?
edit: also forgot slimfan, half rad, and oil lines, and GSR cams, so add... 400ish, - 6900.
edit : also throw in main bearings (50$), timing belt (50ish $), and a new oil pump (130ish)

No that's a little too high for my expectations, if I hit 200whp I'll be happy.

Post some of the power levels you're making or planing to be making, to see how much it really takes to get higher HP.

i dropped approx $11500 in a years time on my vx. that was including buying the car, gsr swap, turbo kit, lots of bolt ons, wheels ect....now if i added in everything i had for the car over that year it would be closer to $13000..the 11.5 is just what was on it as it was turbo charged. its just a shell now though.....sigh
