Just making a post to see how many BIG guys (250 lbs +) have Bride or Recaro Reclining seats in their cars. I'm considering something like this for my Teg, but I've never sat in them. The other problem is....there are no people around me that have them in their cars. So, no way for me to sit in them and try them out.

So, figured I'd make a post asking if any bigger guys had these seats in their cars and to see how comfortable they are for street use.

Very tight... and eventually i got used to it lol
In the beginning i was like.. uh oh...


Also Mugen S1 = dont even THINK about it... unless your a 5'1" 80lb emo kid.

 

Im 230lbs and i've been wondering the same thing...

 

i think buckets are generally out of the question. just a guess though =P

LOL....friend of mine had some Mugen buckets in his DC5....yeah...wasn't any way I'd be able to fit in them. ****, I can't fit in the Buddy Club buckets.

I have no desire for buckets, gotta be able to lean back

My nuts feel like they are in a vice grip in my Recaros and I am 6'1 200 pounds, so good luck

 

I think there are weight limits to the seats as well for safety reasons.

How do the Bride seats compare to the Recaro SRDs?

Brides are smaller/more snug. They also have a 220 LB weight limit.

 

buddy club sells wide ones also.

also get the one that has less side padding.

Nope.....Sparco has both the EVO2 for drivers over 200 pounds and the EVO3 for drivers over 240 pounds that are rigid buckets. I myself used a EVO2 on the street for several years and loved it. Many smaller drivers like the EVO2 just for the extra space so you aren't always so cramped up. Excellent seats and decently priced plus they are FIA homologated so you can use them for competition events

6'5" 240 pounds rolling DC2-R Recaro's.... fit's like a glove.... except when i got my seats the driver side bolster was slightly 'bent' out, and i think that is the reason it fits so well.

i've read that the recaro speeds are slightly wider than the SRDs. im not too sure tho, can anybody confirm this??

 

yo i love my SRD. 5'7" 250 plus.....

 

5'8 220 lifting everyday, and man everytime i get in my dc2 recaros. i get a big hug!

 

corbeau has larger reclinables.not JDM but its there

 

you should have no problem in the reclinable seats....
