NO OIL pressure! What can be the problem?
I get a D16z6 engine... When i start the car, and the engine is cold there is 2,5 - 3 Bar oil pressure...
When the oil warms up, the pressure decreasing.. So I have to rev the engine up to 3000RPM to get 0,5 Bar oil pressure.. Over 3000 RPM the oil pressure is riseing up to max 2 bar. I have a K03s turbo on the car, but i used the same setup on a D14 engine, the turbo, and the oil pressure gauge is OK, when i swap this D16z6 engine the problem occurs..
What can be the problem?
- The oil pump is good, I get it from another engine, that works well, and i measured the gaps, so the pump is OK.
- The oil pumps pressure spring is OK.
- I replaced the oil (15w-40), and the oil filter too..
- New crankshaft bearings
- New Cylinder head gasket
The crankshaft and the connection rods has 0,50 oversized bearings.
Where can the oil leaks inside the block ? or in the cylinder head ?
THX !

Quoted for truth.
Also, Royal Purple (obviously) 10 or 5w30. 5w30 for colder regions.

i think not the oil is the problem...
There are NO oil pressure at 3000RPM... The oil lines, gaskets are okay...
Everithing is okay... This is a hard problem... The bearings are new...
I got oil pressure!
The gauge was the bad! I bought a new one, and it shows the correct value..
Idle - cold engine - 5 Bar
idle -warm engine 1,2 Bar
On 3000RPm - 4,3 Bar

why use a used oil pump on a rebuilt bottom end.
though you said you checked the internals, it might be going bad.
check your pickup tube and stuff. blow it out with shop air or w/e. If you have to rev it to build oil pressure, something is about to give.

reused oil pump on a built motor... i see the outcome of this already.
I did this once, tried to save some money and stuck a used oil pump in... I landed up replacing bearings along with the oil pump shortly afterwards
