I voted DOHC ZC because i am building one right now. You probably shouldn't get one though.

Between all of those motor you are splitting hairs with power figures. I would get whatever you can go down to the parts store and get parts.

SOHC ZC is what I had. Pulled very hard for a single cam. The VTEC in SOHC is only for intake valves so don't expect anything fancy. Get a D16A6 or SOHC ZC and a delta cam and call it quits on the D series.

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. I'd stick with something cheap if you want nitrous. Go for an A6 or Z6 if you're boosting. and And SOHC ZC is the SAME as an A6 and the DOHC ZC isn't worth the money. And if you want Vtec go with a Z6 or Y8.
that's my take.

I voted Z6.

actually yeah i did find one he even told me this one has more power than the one your looking for (d16a6) he even said this is an imported japannese engine and it did look like a jdm d15b vtec the cover was blue and said vtec and it even had a vtec solenoid and then i asked what happen to the car that had it and he said it was rear ended bad it was in a 91 civic hatchback the stamp even said d15b then he said u wont find another engine like this around here so what do u all think he wanted 450 could it be a jdm d15b

i'd go with whatever you can get in good shape at a good price. Between those engines you're looking at about 10-15whp difference which could be lost if you get a motor in crappy condition.

I voted for z6 just because i like obd1 for tuning options but it really doesn't matter.

they're all about the same in my opinion.

mix and match oem parts to make a better engine.

sohc zc, dohc zc pistons, d16y8 intake manifold. sweet.
