I recently swapped my civic with a H22, and the Hasport axle boots busted.

Im swapping out transmissions this weekend, and, since I have been driving the car for about 3 months with basically no grease in the axel boots, would replacing/re-sealing the boots do me any good now? Or are the bearings fried?
