Default B16A2: Build-Up

I got bought a 1999 Civic SI and would like to build-up the motor. I was wondering, since I'm sort of a "newb"...

How would you build up a B16A2? I would like to make a solid motor with no FI.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it'll be my DD. I just want to push it to (around) 190HP-200HP, but keep it safe. (No FI)

Budget = $2,000-$2,500 total.
Mechanical Skills: Slim.

Is it laughable to say I could make a B16A2 run 190-200HP with that amount of money?

to make 190-200whp, you're going to have to spend more than $2500.00

If your budget is in that range, it would have to include labor costs for someone to do the work for you.

At that budget, I'd keep the bottom end stock. Do the full headwork, port/polish, valvetrain, upgraded camshaft, and cam gear. This is most likely going to run you about $2000 just for the parts. put aside the rest for assorted parts such as head gasket and labor.

Thats pretty much where you're going to be at with that budget. gains of possibly 20-25hp over what you have now.

itr aem cai is bigger in diameter, I would like to say 2.5 inches, versus 2.25 inches but then I would be guessing
