Going to start building a streetable ls/vtec soon. I want it to be something to get to work and back quick/reliable. I was wondering if you can retang the rods to accept the ITR rod bearings. I know it's possible with the b16 crank, using the itr bearings...

 

Why do you want to use ITR bearings? Whats wrong with Honda OEM or ACL?

 

yes you can do it, just have to grind your own. Spin the rod around and grind on the other side.

Each bearing is 2mm narrower.

 

yeah that's what i thought. less surface friction. i think the gsr will work and are the same as well as the itr.

 

yeah gsr and itr are the same bearings/part numbers.
