Ok if i make no mistake im sure it runs off of cable just like the 3rd and 4th gens not really sure the only thing i know to do is to take your pod out and make sure all conections are good and nothing is broken.

i was thinking that also, but one of my mechanic buddys that i take my car to said it might be something from the tranny...like a sensor...he has worked on cars for over 10 years and mostly imports....so i trust him...even though i dont wanna pay to get a little thing like this fixed though..i just need something i can work with...i will however get the pod checked out though by this weekend..

Its called a VSS. Vehicle speed sensor. If you speedometer also sometimes doesnt work then that might be what is wrong. Mine broke not too long ago, I had a spare tranny lying around so no problem for me . Good luck buddY!

hold on...my speedometer never has had anything wrong with it...so are u saying i would need a whole new tranning or just the VSS also were is it located..can i see it from the top of the motor...or is it inside the tranny itself..

looking down at the engine from the front the vss is closest to the firewall on the tranny. it has a wire plugged into the top and 2 rubber hoses coming out from it for power steering.

Pull it out like so http://www.ntpog.org/mods/fift...shtml it takes 5 mins. If everything is hooked up then you can proceed busting your ***** with the VSS. What i would do is go to a local junkyard and pull a new one out.

My mileage guage had stopped working on my accord while I was on a 5hr trip. I realized that it was because I had pushed my key into the slot to reset the maintenance indicator light. I pushed the key in there again and it started working again. Apparently, it was not pressed down full the first time I pressed it and had gotten stuck.
