My coworker asked me to come out and listen to this noise she is having in her CRV. She said it would clunk when she turned to the left I thought maybe a cv was going bad. I took the car for a ride and the clunk appears to be coming from the tunnel almost like the exhaust is hitting something hollow. I can only get it to happen if I am moving and turn the car to the right and left very fast it will keep on reproducing the noise. Otherwise it will only do it once in a while. I did not get to crawl under the car being that I am dressed in a suit but I was just wondering if there are any known problems.

Most likely the rear differential fluid needs to be changed. That will produce a clunking noise from the rear end.

 

It is coming from the front middle part of the car not the rear and will only do it when turning hard left or if you turn hard left and right really fast.

 

usually when it makes a noise like that the car has run over something. So you need to peek under it to see if anything is bent or broken
