how high can an ls/vtec rev to, with upgraded valvtrain?
i did a search, came up with nothing...
how high can a b18b block/b18c1 head with upgraded internals (springs, retainers, cams, etc...) and a modded ecu chip rev to? thanks...

with out your bottom end being rebuilt with stronger internals i say 7200 the most. if your bottom end is rebuilt and reinforced...i say around 8500
well depends on how long you want it to last, i hear the ls rods dont like to go up as high as 8k, but then again i have a friend who is running 12:1 compression on stock ls rods and revs it to 9k sometime higher, i notice you ask about "springs retainers etc" since they'll come with the Vtec head theyre good to at least 8200 what you have to worry about though is the LS bottom end. HTH
get the z10 block girdle and you can rev it up to 9200rpm. I have a friend now who has the Z10 block girdle in his crvtec and he revs it up tp 9200
Mine has seen 9000 RPM...though I only rev it that high when I drag racing. I've got stock LS rods with ARP rod bolts and Z10 Girdle. If you don't get those for your bottom end I'd stay under 8000 RPM. As far as topend I've got ITR Intake Outers with Portflow Inners.
