alarm system to horn???

Default alarm system to horn???

my car was broken into about a week ago so i got an alarm installed...but i can barely hear it, it sounds weak, i was thinking about hooking up my car horn to the siren but dont no how to...can any1 help me..thanks!

yup, it can be done. siren is (+) trigger and ur horn will most likely be (-) trigger. You'll have to hook up a relay to ur horn but it's been done many times.

if you're not good at wiring then bring it to a tech. when ur hooking up stuff by the horn... u can hook it up to an airbag or something by accident and screw everything up.

I would just wire it directly to the horn, saves messing around under the dash and will keep things clean under there.

u can't wire it directly to the horn because horn is (-) trigger. and siren output is (+) trigger.

I don't suggest doing the factory horn. Most theives unplug it to avoid setting it off when they steal your car. I would find out what causing the weak siren. Ie. bad ground or bad siren. Put the siren in the fender were it can't be gotten to. Trust me it will be loud as you know what.

Why not add a backup batt. siren to the system as a second siren, hide the alarms siren in the fender, like mentioned. should be loud enough. 94
