sup guys...as of the 14th i'm officially a type R owner...i had an 97 LS before with a few mods:
AEM CAI
Comptech 4-2-1 SS headers
RS*R catback exhaust
gsr front sway bar
type r rear sway bar
neuspeed front upper strut bar
neuspeed rear upper strut bar
koni yellows
and an eibach pro-kit

unfortunately my friend crashed it into a wall at 65 mph...so i thought as long as i need a new car, why not upgrade...it took me 3 months of searching but i found one in my price range...its a Black 01 #0983...the guy i bought it from had some springs on it (sportlines from the look of em, but i haven't examined them closely) but other than that its completely stock...and damn do i love it...i've only driven it one day and i can't seem to figure out how i've gone so long without it

but i'm reading all these stories on here about stolen R's and i'm flipping out...my garage is broken (i'm now fixing it this weekend thanks to you guys) and all it has right now is a clifford alarm...after reading just one of the threads i became paranoid...i've talked to a few of my friends and we think that if i fix the garage and put it in there, make a feul cut off switch, get an auto lock and some wheel locks...those things along with my alarm should give me some piece of mind at night so i don't have to sleep inside the car with a bat and a can of whoopass...but do you guys have any other suggestions...the alarm isn't very good and i think i should buy a new one..thanks

my friend has an auto H22 5th gen accord with a dry 75 shot of NX
my other friend is almost done building his H22 4th gen prelude
another one of my friends just did a **** load of tranny work to his GTI VR6
one of my friends has a turbo GSR that he's almost done fixing (someone broke into his car and stole his boost gauge, head unit, etc etc)

so yeah, i have no shortage of competition

Be safe and learn really how to drive it! Try an Autocross or Track event like PDA and NASA...

If you want to keep it safe from thieves then keep a low profile, debadge it, dewing it, Lojack it, And at least Garage it. A really cool security mod would be an explosive device like Max had in the Road Warrior... **** THIEVES!!!

BTW mines a sleeper, I already had a PY, and I really enjoy the "Lack" of attention...

me and my VDUB friends go to most of the SCCA and SOLO II events...everynow and then we head over to buttonwillow...i haven't been to buttonwillow yet, but i'm looking forward to it...we do canyon runs a lot too

i was just thinking about de-badging it...but i don't think i could de-wing it...integra's just look recockulous with no spoilers...and i don't really have the money to buy another one yet...or to buy rims to replace the dead giveaway gunmetal ones that are on there now

thanks for all the info guys...i'm kinda strapped for cash at the moment, but that should all change in the summer since i'm planning on working full time

we do different canyon runs every time almost...personally i haven't been on one in a while and i don't remember which hywy's they were on when i did go...but next time there's one i'll try and remember to let you know where it was
