The shifter assembly is almost sitting on the exhaust i looked at all the grommets for the exhaust. Could it be something with the shifter assembly? I ran a turbo for about a week and had the exhaust tied up. But it wasnt hitting anything.

 

stock or short shifter? Mine (short shifter) hits my exhaust sometimes on big bumps, but its been fine

 

usually you just have to bend the tabs on the exhaust a little so hit doesnt hit.

 

I havea short shifter it came w the car. like the bars are on the exhaust I see 2 bolts for the shifter linkage. What tabs do I have to bend tho? Cuase this rattlign is driving me nuts and sometimes I cant get into gear cause its hitting it.

 

you have to bend the tabs that go into the rubber bushings. you just have to bend them at an angle so it moves the exhaust away from the shifter.

 

do you have a skunk 2 shifter by any chance?
