Default DPFI turbo

turbo on the DPFI?! please do yourself a favor. don't! talk about an explosion! those two puny injectors can't fuel that application! turbo an Si motor so you will have enough fuel or turbo a carbed ZC motor. **** a turbo--just put some Mikuni carbs a ZC. that was one of the first motor swaps in a honda--in the very early 90's. i want to do one so bad but my B16 got here last week. i will have to find a project DX car with a carbureted wiring harness.

Default Re: DPFI turbo (wreckedhatch)

Yep dpfi would not do well with boost unless you rig extra injectors in the intake stream to compensate for the extra compressed air. You could also do the pfi swap and then put the turbo on. I do agree though that dpfi alone is not suited to boost. I disagree though that you shouldn't boost a ZC. I have seen many successful ZC turbo setups.
