BC specIV vs. Scunk2 stage 2 for B20/GSR? i'll be runnin 11:5 or 12:1 comp. and i'd like to keep the stock idle characteristics. will be tuning on dynojet. my goil is to make 220WHP hanging around 9000+RPMs. all positive input is welcome. thx.
Same vtec lobes. BC4's have larger primaries but are easily streetable. Mine idled at about 1100 with a bit of lumpiness. Even without tuning, they will both idle just fine. That's the advantage of variable valve timing. Now if you had a non-vtec head, your idle would dearly suffer with those vtec sized lobes.

You ever run BC4's? They idle fine.

ok the cam caricteristics i want. i want a close to stock primary with a hard cross-over to the vtec lobes. if i wont power i'll winde it past 5'800rpm. but for normal (not beating the **** out off my newly built motor) driving i'd like close to stock fuel economy.

Having a hard crossover has no advantages. This is a ricer mentality.

your kinda rite. but what i mean buy that is i'd rather have normal OE characteristics in my primary and all out performance in my secondary. maybe not the best idea if i wana get 220whp.

The smaller the primary, the more valvetrain wear that will occur when you do decide to cross into vtec.
