i jus bought a whole apexi world sport 2 catback exhaust for my 97 civic hatchback. my muffler touches my rear bumper and it causes my car to vibrate (especially my rear bumper). is there anyway to stop this? do i bend the muffler down or do i have to do some welding?

I think you need some new muffler bearings

yeah im with you on this.

 

Take off the rear rubber hanger and try to stretch it out a little more. Sometimes you can also bend the hanger downward.

 

what is new muffler bearing? if i bring it to a muffler shop will they do it for me? how much $$ am i lookin at on average?

they only run like 40-50 dollars, but good luck finding them, they are a Honda Of Japan Special order

 

oh.. thats the only way to make my muffler from touching my bumper? cant i bend the hanger or something
