Default Have u guys ever had this happen (02 sens conec.)

i have been having a misfire and a hesitation problem with my 95lx. i thought it was the egr ports so i opened them up adn sure enough they were clogged up. i cleaned them and i stil had the problem so i decided 2 get a new 02 sensor (free btw). i go to disconnect the 02 sensor i noticed that one of the four pins on the wiring harness part of the conector is missing. looks like it burn out or something.

Does anyone know how i can fix this? i callled the dealership but they said i would have to buy a new wiring harness. im wondering if i can just go 2 a junkyard and cut off the conector and put it onto my car. i dont want to do any crapy work. one of my friends said that the wires going to the conector just pop off. i noticed they have a metal part going to the conector. has anyone done this?

I would say your best bet is junk yard and SOLDER it together that's the best repair, and then heat shrink or electrical tape

edit* I did this for the repair of my radio harness, power windows, and power locks so it's fine

At the junkyard just chop off the side of the connector you need

Make sure that the wire length is exactly the same as your stock harness and that you have a very good solder connection because you want the same resistance through the harness as stock so that your ecm doesn't think something is screwed with the A/F ratio.
