What kind of leak is this and how can i fix it?

Default What kind of leak is this and how can i fix it?





seams to be around the vtec solenoid. What could be leaking and what parts will i need to make this repair? All help is appreciated. btw its a b16b

It looks like a cam seal leak. It can be EASILY fixed by replacing the cam seal. The part itself is very cheap.

well thank you, good thing i have some password JDM camseals laying around. Is the oem camseal the black circle? because their is no fluid leaking from it? or bleeding from it?

Yes, It should be the little black circle that you see.

If you search Honda-Tech for Cam Seal...you should be able to find A LOT more information on it, and maybe even a how-to for installation. But you'll at least get a few threads that will help with troubleshooting if it IS your cam seal or not, yanno?

Either way, good luck man! Let us know what it turns out to be if its not the cam seal.
